HISTORIC REHABILITATION
Special care and expertise must be applied to the rehabilitation of historic structures when encountering antiquated and potentially hazardous building materials and bringing the structure up to current building standards without compromising its integrity. LaRosa has successfully completed projects where either the building was listed on State and/or National Historic Registers, or the project was within a historic district.

Bradley Federal Inspection Station
Windsor Locks, CT
This project was the complete design and new construction of a 31,000 SF facility to house the U.S. Immigration Department, Customs, Agriculture, and Public Health Service for their clearance of all international air travelers. The design includes the remote electronic control of all building systems by the main airport terminal building.
The final design had to incorporate the exact and varied safety and security criteria of four Federal agencies. Specialties included passenger “jet-way”, escalator, and baggage handling conveyor. This project was completed 3 months ahead of schedule.
