HISTORIC REHABILITATION
Special care and expertise must be applied to the rehabilitation of historic structures when encountering antiquated and potentially hazardous building materials and bringing the structure up to current building standards without compromising its integrity. LaRosa has successfully completed projects where either the building was listed on State and/or National Historic Registers, or the project was within a historic district.

Silver Sands State Park / Walnut Beach
Milford, CT
The Silver Sands State Park / Walnut Beach Boardwalk project is located in Milford, CT and runs along Long Island Sound for 0.64 miles.
The entire project is approximately 3,400 LF of composite decking boardwalk, roughly 8 to 12-feet wide. The boardwalk has several beach accesses, ramps and nodes with sitting benches. The boardwalk contains roughly 4,143 LF of curbing, 1,072 LF of dune barrier and 1,362 LF of guardrail throughout. Ten-foot square modular boardwalk segments were installed at each end (Walnut Beach side and Silver Sands State Park side) for use by the City and State at their discretion
