HISTORIC REHABILITATION
Special care and expertise must be applied to the rehabilitation of historic structures when encountering antiquated and potentially hazardous building materials and bringing the structure up to current building standards without compromising its integrity. LaRosa has successfully completed projects where either the building was listed on State and/or National Historic Registers, or the project was within a historic district.

Readiness Center at Camp Niantic
East Lyme, CT
LaRosa Building Group provided general contractor services for this new, 50,000 SF administration and readiness training facility at Camp Niantic. The new center accommodates the law enforcement / legal detachment and the chemical battalion, and will also provide classrooms, administrative offices, storage, and various special functions. This project is a SPiRiT GOLD level sustainable/green project.
The project was built to provide the 192nd Military Police Battalion and the 85th Troop Command with modern office space for administrative functions and training duties.
The building is a new, steel-framed structure with a standing-seam metal roof and concrete foundation. The interior finishes for this project include a mixture of traditional drywall, floor coverings, and ceiling systems, as well as exposed concrete and steel.
