According to the Declaration of Independence, Americans have the inalienable right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Is the pursuit of wellness our new happiness?
According to Fortune Magazine, the wellness market is surging internationally and is not expected to slow down. The U.S. is topping the global list of countries for spending on wellness, and cryotherapy is growing in popularity.
The franchise Restore Hyper Wellness is an outgrowth of this booming trend. Started in Austin, Texas, with a focus on cryotherapy, the company now boasts more than 200 locations nationwide and offers a wide variety of personalized Hyper Wellness services. Connecticut has four current locations; LaRosa Groups was hired to do the fit-out for the second Greater Hartford location in Glastonbury, Connecticut.
"This growing national focus on attaining health is long overdue. We are all searching for well-being and balance of energy, and LaRosa is proud to be part of bringing health and healing to our local community, "explained James LaRosa, CEO of LaRosa Groups.
What is Fit-Out Construction?
Fit-out construction is the process of turning an empty commercial building and preparing the interior space for tenant occupation. It includes design and general construction services. While it can be labor and time-intensive, it allows the tenant to tailor-make the space to serve the particular needs of the business. It often includes installing structural elements such as window placement, door hardware, flooring, ceilings, walls, heating, plumbing, and ventilation.
The Details of the Restore Hyper Wellness Project in Glastonbury
The six-week 2500 square-foot tenant fit-out project was a seamless one. The interior consisted of a kitchen, bathroom, and multiple rooms with custom millwork for:
Cryotherapy
Red light therapy
IV drip therapy
Sauna
Compression room
Oxygen room
Aesthetician services
According to LaRosa Project Manager Vincent Parete, "This project was completed ahead of schedule. The biggest challenge was coordinating with the cryotherapy installers who drove in from the South and charged a hefty fee if we were unprepared when they arrived."
Strategically, the team was totally prepared for the installation, and cryotherapy is currently one of Vince's favorite treatments. "It's great. You walk into a super cold room and burn 1000 calories. I would do it again."

The Hyper Wellness Trend: Prevention is Key!
According to the Restore Hyper Wellness Survey, "Hyper Wellness is comprised of nine elements people can incorporate into their daily lives to support overall health and wellness and delay the aging process. These nine elements include hydration, nourishment, cold, heat, oxygen, movement, light, rest, and connection."
Consumers are becoming more health conscious and seeking innovative solutions to improve their physical and mental health. According to the survey, more than half of Americans (54%) report that preventive health measures are part of their routine. 63% of Americans believe in investing in Hyper-Wellness activities, services, and products that can help offset the costs of aging.
Aging is a universal problem, and so is pain. The annual costs of pain management are soaring, and Americans are becoming more proactive and less reactive. They are looking for effective options to minimize pain and maximize longevity with a focus on prevention.
Americans are also more in touch than ever, knowing the importance of taking care of their mental health. The 2024 results of the American Psychiatric Association's annual mental health poll indicate U.S. adults are feeling increasingly anxious. "In 2024, 43% of adults say they feel more anxious than they did the previous year, up from 37% in 2023 and 32% in 2022. Adults are particularly anxious about current events (70%) — especially the economy (77%), the 2024 U.S. election (73%), and gun violence (69%). Stress and sleep are key factors impacting mental health."
